65 Ultimate Fun Mom’s Summer Bucket List Ideas

With June approaching and summer vacation lurking around the corner, mom’s summer bucket lists are just as important as those we make for our children. We do our best to put together lists of fun and engaging activities to keep our children occupied during the summer, but what about us, moms? Don’t we deserve a fun and exciting summer? So maybe, instead of worrying so much about them, we should consider a few things we’d like to enjoy this summer as well…

The reality is, that we probably won’t have time to do many of the things we truly wish we could during the summer. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t have our own Mom’s Summer Bucket List.

If you’re looking to create your own Mom’s Summer Bucket List, I hope you’ll be able to take inspiration and maybe even a few ideas from the list below.

Try Something New

  • Try a new flavor of ice cream.
  • Play a tourist in your own town, and visit some of the landmarks that you have never seen before.
  • Make a new dish that I’ve never done before.
  • Learn to play one song on the piano.
  • Try a new class at the gym.
  • Visit a new coffee shop in your neighborhood.
  • Visit a nearby town I have never been to and spend the day exploring.
  • See a musical you have not seen before.
  • At a restaurant, order a cocktail you’ve never had before.
  • Try a new, healthy smoothly.
  • Attend a Hot Air Balloon show.
  • Enjoy a take-out dinner from a new restaurant.

Enjoy the Outdoors

  • Go for a walk in the woods, alone.
  • Go to the beach.
  • Spend a day sunbathing in your own backyard.
  • Go for a bike ride.
  • Go camping.
  • Make Smore’s over a campfire.
  • Make a bouquet of wildflowers and bring them home to grace our kitchen table.

  • Buy something for yourself from your own wish list.
  • Catch up with an old friend over lunch.
  • Indulge in overpriced, Swiss chocolate.
  • Reread my favorite book from my childhood.
  • Go on a day shopping trip with my BFF.

Rainy Day Fun

  • Bake your favorite cake, the one you never have time to make because there are so many steps to it.
  • Beat my kids in Mario kart at least once.
  • Go to the movies.
  • Read a book you’ve wanted to read for a long time and never had the time to do so.
  • Have a movie night at home.
  • Have a dance party in my living room.
  • Play a board game.
  • Pull out your old photo albums and share with your children the stories from your childhood.
  • Jump in the puddles with your kids.
  • Make cupcakes with a lot of icing.
  • Spend an evening at your local bookstore exploring new books to read.
  • Spend a rainy morning reading in bed.

Do Something for Someone Else

  • Volunteer at the SPCA. Take some dogs for a nice long walk.
  • Take your parents out to dinner.
  • Organize a date night for you and your husband.
  • Take your family out for brunch.
  • Make your kids favorite dish.
  • Pay it forward at a drive-through window.
  • Get a mother-daughter pedicure with your little girl.
  • Play soccer with your son.
  • Send a handwritten letter to a friend who lives far away.
  • Do a kind deed for a neighbor.
  • Play a practical joke on my brother or sister.
  • Take your kids to volunteer at The Mission.

  • Have a weekend overnight getaway with your husband.
